TEST SYSTEMS FOR MOTORS & FANS
The test bench combines electrical and mechanical measurements with easy-to-use software. Depending on the configuration, AI assesses motor condition and a health monitor supports early predictions of potential failures – directly in your own workshop.

MOTOR TESTING & PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE
With your own electric motor test bench, motor and fan condition records stay in your workshop. After training, your staff can carry out standardised tests. This provides a basis for predictive maintenance: identifying warning signs and acting before they lead to unplanned downtime.
01
Clearly guided software supports your trained staff through fully automatic tests or guided manual steps. An expert mode provides access to additional settings.
02
Depending on the configuration, AI analyses electrical and mechanical measurements. The health monitor highlights anomalies and supports predictions of potential failures before they cause unplanned downtime.
03
Measurements, condition assessments and test history are brought together for each motor. Repeat tests reveal changes and help plan continued operation, maintenance or repair.
04
Digital test reports document the results. An agreed data interface allows test data to be transferred to your ERP system and used across your business.
ELECTRICAL & MECHANICAL TESTING
From insulation resistance to mechanical running behaviour, the electric motor test bench combines electrical and mechanical tests in a guided routine. Test programmes, limits and load tests are configured for your motors and the agreed equipment.
01
Measure insulation resistance and assess the motor’s electrical insulation. Repeat measurements help identify changes at an early stage.
02
Assess electrical dielectric strength with a high-voltage test. Test voltage and procedure are matched to the motor and the test specification.
03
Measure winding resistance and compare phases on three-phase motors. Differences may indicate connection problems or changes in the windings.
04
Record rotational speed during the test and compare it with the requirements for the motor type.
05
Assess temperature and heating behaviour. Unusual readings may indicate increased friction or developing bearing damage.
06
Evaluate vibration under the applicable part of ISO 20816. Measurements help identify imbalance and signs of abnormal bearing condition.
07
Record phase currents I1, I2 and I3, including current imbalance, as well as voltage and power under no-load and load conditions.
08
Measure the time from switching off to standstill. Comparing results under the same test conditions can reveal changes in mechanical running behaviour.
TEST BENCH AS AN INTEGRATED SYSTEM
The fixture, connections, measurement equipment and software work together. Select an area to see how the test bench supports motor testing and condition assessment.
NIKLAS TEST BENCH SOFTWARE
Test motors, understand measurements and track their condition. NIKLAS test bench software combines straightforward operation with AI-assisted analysis, depending on the configuration.

Example of the test bench software, shown in German. Functions depend on the configuration.
GUIDED TESTING. INTELLIGENT ANALYSIS.
Clear routines for operators and additional settings for specialists: the software combines simple everyday operation with targeted analysis tools.
Clear steps and stored test profiles support fully and semi-automatic routines, including for staff without in-depth testing expertise.
Additional parameters and settings for experienced users, tailored to the motor and the testing task.
Depending on the configuration, AI analyses measurement parameters, assesses motor condition and supports predictions of potential failures.
Available functions, prediction capabilities and parameters depend on the agreed test bench configuration.
